I live on the beautiful Gold Coast in sunny Qld. I’m a 4th generation Australian, my great grandparents settling here from Ireland. I grew up in country NSW, where my father and his family were farmers, growing wheat and sheep. My father fought for his country in WW11, becoming a prisoner of war, and returning to his family farm to work hard and ensure a future for all Australians. He married my mother, a city girl, and they had nine children. I’m number eight. I was very fortunate to grow up in a less complicated world, where a man’s word was his bond, hard work was it’s own reward, and the government encouraged primary production. Sadly, those days are a distant memory, and we now have to contend with broken promises, an over-abundance of welfare recipients who’ve never worked, and government red tape.

For 30 years I worked as a nurse in public hospitals, and consider myself fortunate
to be part of a team of dedicated professionals who had the best interests of their
patients at heart.

We have some extremely clever business people in Australia, and their enterprise
supports so many others, both by direct and indirect employment, and the large
amount of taxes they pay. Gina Rinehart is our most successful, and the perfect
example of how hard work, resilience, and fortitude makes things happen. Like
Donald Trump.
